Top experience! We spontaneously decided to visit Brda for the weekend and even though we only called the night before, Dominik organized everything for us that very night. We were thrilled with the tasting (Amalia Mavrič wine cellar) and the hospitality. Another big plus of Brda is that it is only a good hour's drive from Ljubljana. We will definitely be back!

We had a great day exploring Brda and had a great tasting at Amalia Mavric. The owners were very kind and accommodating and we learned a lot about the wine making and different wines. The restaurant which was recommended to us by the Winetastingbrda team was amazing as well.
There were some other activities that were recommended to us by their team, but since we only had the day exploring the Brda we focused only on the wine and food.
Would definitely recommend!

Better late than never, right? I had a day to kill in the Primorksa wine region in May – alone, with no car – and I stumbled upon this ad. I was in the region specifically to check out wineries and quickly learnt 2 things: 1) Slovenia is not Italy/Australia/NZ/Ontario, where wineries have posted hours they stick to, and 2) planing a wine tour well in advance is wise. BUT, I got lucky and found Wine Tasing Brda, and XXXXX – Google came for me for saying his name I think – and on super-short notice he got me two tastings/tours, one of which was stellar (Zarova). It's a small region, but more than 2 visits per day just isn't going to happen. Slovenians don't [Google came for me here too] the tastings. Give yourself time – and call XXXXX to be a designated driver/guide. He's from around here, knows the winemakers, and best off, given time, he can make an itinterary for Slovenian wine beginners. He's also young and cool, so you're unlikely to be bored during the drives. Slovenians make great wine and this is their Napa/Tuscany/Barossa. They need more tour providers like this. It's a young business but so far so good.

We really enjoyed our wine tasting with Brda. We went to a family home, where our guide spoke so passionately about the wines, the seasons, the process - that alone was a pleasure to be a part of. Then of course there was the wine. 7 glasses of delicious wines, we walked away with bottles and have been enjoying it throughout our time in Slovenia. I would highly recommend this tour.

My visit to Goriška Brda with Wine tasting Brda was very enjoyable. Together with their guides, I had the opportunity to visit some local wineries and taste some excellent wines.

Wine varieties such as Rebula and Chardonnay really stood out. I particularly liked the Rebula with its citrus notes and the Chardonnay with its rich texture.

The guides were extremely friendly and experienced, which added value to my experience. Together we enjoyed exploring the wine cultures and beauty of Goriška Brda.

The entire trip was enjoyable and relaxing, I recommend it to all wine lovers who want a peaceful escape into the beautiful nature of Slovenia.

How does It work?

Most of our experiences are curated self-drive wine days. Based on your preferences, we select the wineries, organize reservations, and prepare a detailed itinerary with timing, locations, and the suggested flow of the day. You simply drive between the locations and enjoy Brda without needing to coordinate bookings or logistics yourself.

Is transportation included?

Transportation is not included in our standard self-drive experiences, as most guests already stay within the Brda region and prefer exploring independently, but we are happy to arrange it for you.

For guests looking for a more relaxed and immersive day, we also offer private all-inclusive experiences with transportation included.
